Out of Curiousity
There is a proverb "curiosity killed the cat", which means:
If you are too interested in things you should not be interested in, you could be in danger. You may be causing yourself problems by trying to find out things you don't need to know.

However, I'm tempted to ask:
Are you visiting this blog from United Arab Emirates? If so, would you mind to let me know who are you? Do you read Chinese?
When I looked at the ClustrMaps of this site (tracking since 21/10/2007), the red dot at the part of United Arab Emirates is quite big - almost similar to the one at Sarawak, and much bigger than those at Australia.

I'm not sure if you are willing to say a word or two. But at least I try to ask. Thanks and hope to hear from you soon.
P/S:
When I found it was the hardest to write about WuYuan (due to the uniqueness of how people build/decorate their houses), but finally finished and publishing them day-by-day, I feel the Chinese posts do not actually welcome comments as much as the English ones.
It's always not easy in language selection. Some good friends told me, they will read only if the posts are in Chinese, whilst a lot of others do not know Chinese. Whoa.. what to do?
Would you like to tell me, which language do you prefer?
(You can name yourself Anonymous if preservation of identity is crucial)

Hi, Haan,
Sorry for bothering you to guess my identity.
I am Y.Guan ex-classmate, now working in UAE.
Nice to meet you.
I really enjoy and learn a lot from reading your blog, both English and Chinese
Keep it up.
Thank you.
ah ha.. i saw a red dot at the same place for Yen Kuan's blog as well :) and we didn't guess wrongly (she just recalled of your location this morning, then told me).
she said you are working in Dubai. is the place interesting for ya?
I am one of those that can't read chinese.
I think as a blogger, you should write what you like in whatever language it may be. You are writing for yourself and if readers like it then they will read it.
chee hoe thanks for your kind words. maybe my level is not high, sometimes i still feel chinese allows me to express myself the best. like when writing about china, i feel chinese is most suitable to be used.
someone used to suggest me to write 2 versions, in chinese and english. not planning so as i will double up my "blog load".
jialiang, forgot to say thank u. was rushing to leave office when posting the above comment. thanks for your willingness to (1) post a comment (2) give a little compliment (3) visiting here often.
Hi haan...
I think what chee hoe said was right. You're writing it for yourself.
But i always find that it's easier to express oneself in chinese(if you know the language of course), there are so many words, adjectives tell people what you feel. And there are proverbs and idioms and 'cheng yu' to most situations.
It still depends though which language you want to use. =)
Just follow your intuition... after all, blog is a diary of your own. I've also once thought of writing in two versions - English and Chinese. But then later I found out certain things are really hard to tell in English (haha, my English level also not high). So, just switch between the two languages la.
flying fish & kun, thanks for your insights. i think i'll still continue as i'm now - follow my heart. the most suitable language to be used is already in heart before i start to write :)
