The Federal Highway was terribly jammed this morning due to a lorry-accident.
When we were in Nanjing, we decided to fly from Hangzhou to Shenzhen. Originally, we planned to visit Fujian, but the plan had to be changed due to time constraint.
The flight ticket was booked via phone. Their service was actually quite good. After the phone conversation, they'd have someone to deliver the tickets to us, and we paid ($760) only when we received the ticket. There was no additional charge for the delivery service.

This time, we paid more to save time. Otherwise, a cheaper train trip would took us another day to arrive at Hong Kong.
Therefore, early in the morning on 6 August 2007, we left West Lake Youth House, taking a cab to somewhere near the Wulin Square (武林小广场). The cab fare was $17. From there, we took the airport bus (机场大巴) to the Xiaoshan international airport (萧山国际机场).

Buying ticket ($15) from the counter.
On the way to airport, I saw a lot of such buildings. Was not sure this is of oriental or western style, or a mix of both?
That was my first experience with China domestic flight. The flight from KL-Macau at the beginning of the backpack trip, was also my first travel with AirAsia :) If you ask me which airlines I've flown the most, the answer is Virgin Blue, the Australian budget airline.
I was quite delighted to try something new on the day. However, Feng was not feeling well. I fell sick first, then it was her turn.
A glimpse at the Xiaoshan International Airport, Hangzhou.
Staying overnight at the airport?
My boarding pass. We flew China Eastern (中国东方航空). Selection was merely based on price.
Queuing up to board the plane.
The service was not bad, although it was slightly delayed (from 8:30am to 9:15am). Thick blanket was provided upon request, and the facilities were satisfactory. The hygiene of toilet was also up to standard.
According to my experience, I like the meals of Austrian Airlines and Singapore Airlines the most. I was kinda curious what will be provided by a domestic airline in China?
Here you go. This is it.
There are cake, bun, peach, mineral water and dried radish. The set doesn't really suit my taste bud.
I feel sorry to say, the in-flight meal was not nice at all. That was the first time I was served with a bun without butter. Apart from that, there was typical Chinese food, such as dried radish (萝卜干) that tastes sour and salty. For me, the food was not yummy.
Good weather! It was the same in Hong Kong when we arrived. Hence, we didn't expect tropical cyclone at all!

Those buildings definately look westernised.
Wah! U travel a lot! How nice! Have a nice day!
I personally don't like the buildings. Not many la but I always look forward for more :)
Hi Haan,
I saw the picture of the e-ticket that you posted. Did you pay RMB760 for the flight?
Is there any way to pay lesser than that? Like for example, although it's printed RMB760, maybe I pay lesser, say, RMB650?
Thanks!
hi, don't think so. i remember we paid exactly the amount printed. it's the discounted price already.
I see... I tot there's discounted and standard price, and the price printed may be before discount.
Thanks for your reply... :)
