A Second Makes the Difference
The 1st day of the year 2008 has finally arrived.
The difference is just between the last second of 2007 and the first second of 2008.
After work, I started to feel the abnormality.
It was hard to get a parking at Jusco Equine at around 7pm. People were queuing up at petrol stations or doing last minute shopping. Weather was unusually hot.
All these created a little worry to me. They made me feel like the doomsday is coming. But I'm not doing any preparation, just like the majority.
The transition of year was spent together with my hometown friends, whom we knew each other since either kindergarten, primary or secondary school. One's birthday is on 31 Dec.
The saddest news to me, is the price increment of Secret Recipe's cake since 1/1/2008. The original RM65 will become RM70.
I suddenly feel lucky that I've tasted a variety of Secret Recipe's cake in 2007. In the new brochure, they no longer feature Chocolate Indulgence. It's now the time for Mango Delight.
Changes in life happen almost around the clock.
Some are so obvious to us. Some are realized only after certain moment.
P/S: The year of rat has NOT arrived. It arrives only during the Chinese New Year. A lot of people made the mistake, including my younger brother. The worst thing is, when you tell them the error, they don't feel it's a problem, as they claimed "everyone else thinks the same too"! Huh? Too bad!

2008 will be the beginning of many price increase. Even more after the election i am sure.
