Zel has been back from Australia, for the 2008 Chinese New Year (CNY) celebration. When he came back last year, I didn't have the chance to meet with him. We just talked over the phone.
This year, I met him before he stepped out of the airport, coz I reached LCCT at almost the same time, back from Chiang Mai. Danny and I were okay to meet with him this year before the arrival of CNY, which was today (3 Feb 2008). I haven't met Danny for about 8 months, and I last met with Zel 1.5 year ago.
The feeling was good when we were together again. We used to be really good buddies. We stayed together at the Carina, at the Unit 100 of Student Village, had homestay at Narelle's house at the Clive Crescent, and stayed in Toowoomba for at least 2 years, since 2003.
The life in Toowoomba was relaxed, peaceful and slow-paced. During the 2nd year, we no longer crazy for every event or occasion, just like the previous year. We all worked hard for money, but would meet periodically to have meals and chats together.

Went to someone's bedroom and had fun, stayed overnight at one's place, were very common for us that time.
When we met today, we reminisced a lot of our past memories, especially the life in USQ, Toowoomba. Five years have swiftly gone, and we have all undergone different changes. However, we do cherish that we manage to be together nowadays, and the friendship still firmly exists.
Every time when we meet, they tend to recall a lot of my "secrets" they discovered when we stayed together, keep mentioning them, and laugh at me. I try to stop them but usually I'm the loser.

Supper at Mobil, the only 24 hours operated place in Toowoomba.

Friends.. I do have lotsa good friends. I'm good in maintaining pure friendship, but not anything beyond that.
I also clearly remember the time we sat and had chats at the balcony, just before I temporarily left Toowoomba for CNY back home. Also, during the days after they knew I was about to move to Sydney, they spent their every night with me, after their night shift work (finished around 9-10pm), just to be with me as much as possible, before I left.
They didn't say that out, but I could feel from everything they did for me. Similarly, I stayed quiet with warmth and touched feelings in my heart. At times, Samantha and Anna joined us too. On the day I left Toowoomba by night bus, they sent me to the station, and my tears finally rolled down when we hugged each other.
Zel mentioned this again today, because the impression I gave them, was a very strong and independent girl, who would never shed her tears. Therefore it was extremely out of his expectation that time. Just now, I blushed at the mention of this incident again.
We had Bak Kut Teh at Klang, then went to Zel's house. Don't know why, very automatically, we also got into his room, just like long time ago, and talked, laughed, acted crazy. Zel threw us an afro wig he got few years ago for a party, which we used to play around with (see the first image above).
We repeated some old things we did before...
I accompanied one of them for the entire afternoon before meeting another one. Was kinda curious when I was asked to shop with him for CNY clothes. I knew he had got something wrong, due to his emotional behaviors. I didn't ask much, waited for him to say, and walked in and out of the many shops without anything being chosen and bought.
Had been their counselor while in Toowoomba. I knew I didn't guess things wrongly.
After about 8 hours, on the way back, he finally said. I listened, and responded appropriately.
Sometimes I feel I should have known men very well, since I mixed with lotsa male friends (whilst treating the females even better) and they always share with me their problems, thoughts, opinions etc. But in actual, I don't.
The reason could be, being one's good friend is really different from being one's girlfriend, and I've never scored Distinction for the latter.
