After the meeting, we went back to hotel to change into casual wear. We had checked out early in the morning but luggages were still kept there.
Carrefour is everywhere! The driver pronounced "ITC" as "It Teh Shi". I took some time to figure that out!
Due to the short travel notice, I didn't have time to find out any info about Jakarta. Therefore, we didn't really have any idea where to spend the next few hours, before heading to the airport again.
Reaching hotel, after traffic jam.
The hotel we stayed is located just near the Planet Hollywood.
The outcome of asking around was to go Plaza Semanggi, which is located not too far from the Kartika Chandra hotel. We, again, took a cab, went through the heavy traffic to reach the place.
Seems like the traffic jam was around the clock!
I'm more interested in sky-DIVing instead of sky-DINing :)
It was once when I met some Taiwanese in Thailand, the 1st question they asked me was, how much is the petrol in Malaysia?
We planned to take our lunch there. There were many selections and we finally chose Japanese food at Kin no Taki.
That was the 2nd time I went for Japanese food where we have to take off shoes, place our legs at a covered area but look like being seated on the floor. I was together with YH for both such experiences.
Yeap, I didn't have green tea ^_^
The lunch took us quite some time, coz the food did not arrive fast. Before the last dish was served, we were already filled with boredom and lost interest to try their desserts which originally aroused our curiosity and taste bud.
Due to time constraint, we then shopped for layer cake at the Giant supermarket in that building, before heading back to the hotel again.
We had limited cash left after few taxi sessions. If Sam did not ask for it, we might not have bought this :)
While taking a quick glance at the hotel website, I knew they have shuttle bus service to/from the airport at reasonable price. We decided to take the XTrans shuttle bus, so that we wouldn't have insufficient Rupiah to pay the airport tax.
It leaves for airport every hour. That day, we took the 3pm service.
It's a huge difference in price. This costs 40K (RM14) Rupiah for two. Cab took us 135K (RM47) Rupiah the night before.
This is the air freshener used in the shuttle bus.
While continuing to shoot photos on the way to airport, I saw this!!! Do you notice that the tree is actually growing IN THE MIDDLE of the house?
Bye, Indonesia.
My short trip to Jakarta is hereby ended!

Ha, glad I asked for the cake, now I know Malaysian and Indonesian cuisine is really not that different.
OK la, I'll bring back something next trip, but I guess next long trip is either Japan or Oz some 6 months later; maybe a short local trip can do (like tidbit from Penang)?
I heard that reckless driving is everywhere in Jakarta. Cars dun stop at traffic lights and zebra crossings. Is that what you see?
Wow... Indonesian are very rich. Have so much money. :P Too bad the money value is too low.
sam, just give a note before u go anywhere, sure can order something, making u travel "with more responsibility" haha.
jam, the traffic there is also quite terrible. not much difference from china!
jayce, yeah, it was the 1st time for me to carry 150K and go around. however, it's the same for most of the people there :)
