Short Note: It's been a week since the post "going to Phayao". Here I continue with the exploration...

Going to Phayao | Phayao Food | Wat Analayo | Other Wats in Phayao | The Beautiful Phayao Lake

In the first morning in Phayao, I walked to the bus station.

It was to check the bus schedule coz I planned to leave for Chiang Mai the next morning. Normally I'll just check the schedule without buying a ticket, so that a certain level of flexibility can be preserved.

Nowadays, you need not to being a pen and paper. Instead, just press the shutter of your digital camera will do.

At the station, I met the male staff, whom I asked question the night before (upon my arrival). He waved to me, asking me to go over, then introducing me some attractions of Phayao.

In fact, I had done my studies, but lack of much $$ related information. So I asked him how much does it cost to get to Wat Analayo, which is located out of the town.

After some bargains, I followed his friend, with the agreement of paying 350B. Actually I wanted to take breakfast that day, but finally I chose to do visiting first. It had been few days that I took only 1 meal daily.

We passed by some residential areas and paddy fields, then reached the Wat Analayo.

This hilltop temple, which is well signposted from the Phayao town, has a eclectic mix of religious architecture and iconography.

It features buildings and sculptures of religion-based characters by contemporary craftsmen of great skill.

This is not a postbox but a donation box. Thanks to the Chinese words.

I spent 2 hours here. The Tuk Tuk driver waited for me down there near the entrance.

I felt kinda sorry for taking so long (normally 1 hour would be sufficient), coz there are truly a lot of photogenic spots!!

That was exactly a photography day, by having blue sky and white clouds, in addition to the cool, shady and pleasant garden views out and over the surrounds.

The 12 signs of the Chiense horoscopes.

After the visit, I asked if he could send me to Wat Phra That Chomthong. He said okay. Then I headed to the second destination in Phayao...

On my exploration journey again!!
