Boat Dive at Terumbu Kili, Redang

It's time to proceed into my first ever boat dive - which was also the dive for the last skill, hovering, to get certified as an Open Water Diver!!
Q: Where?
A: Terumbu Kili
Q: How deep?
A: 18 meters
Before the boat dive, Goh and I respectively rented a camera from the Dive Centre, for RM30. The actual price is RM50. Since the time we rented was about 11am, the owner, Fedrick charged us for just half-day.
That is a Canon IXUS 750 that comes with 2G memory, 7.1 Megapixels, and can go into 40 meters underwater. The camera is supposed to be returned by 7pm, and there will be a free CD for the photos taken. Any subsequent CD costs RM10 each. No DVD is available.
For your information, the casing for camera to go underwater is normally more expensive than the camera itself. At this stage, I'm still not planning to invest in this area :)
I actually didn't understand why the first pill of the dive trip (taken in that morning) had no positive effect on my equalization problem. Therefore, I took the 2nd pill on the day before the boat dive.
I brought along Novomin too (for sea sick), but I believed I didn't need that.
For boat dives, we first took a boat out to the destination. Then, did a back-roll entry into the sea. I didn't hold my mask tight enough. When I entered into the water, my mask was away from me as well, hehe...
We just dived and swam around, exploring the underwater world at an increased depth. I was not allowed to shoot photos yet, till I was certified. However the instructor (Darius) and dive master (Shaiful) snapped some photos for us.

This time, I descended slowly. The pain was less, and when I looked at the SPG (Submersible Pressure Gauge), only I realized that I had gone down till 16 meters, without very much undesirable pain at my ears!!!
Honestly, the best way is to "吞口水/swallow your spit" (sorry for the bad English, there should be a better word, and I doubt it is called Frenzel technique - diver uses the throat muscles to compress air against the blocked nose).
I breathed using my mouth. At certain interval, I had gotta "make up" the spit to be swallowed. The skill will really take you some time to master ^^ I remember I had an truly dry throat after the dive!
When the air left reached only 50 bar, I ended the dive and ascended. As usual, I was extremely worn up after a dive.
Not only that, I was pretty hungry too. It was time to back for lunch!

As usual, briefing is necessary prior to every dive...

What else... if not boats? They drove us to Terumbu Kiri.
