Pardon me for naming the shop myself. Actually it doesn’t even have a signboard outside the shop. The name shown in the shop (千禧茶室) is also partially covered.
The Mr Four Lights (四光) I contacted for the Rainbow Waterfall (彩虹瀑布) trip is actually the owner of this shop. After we reached back at the town centre, he invited us to dine at his shop.
Commonly, coffee shops are open early in the morning, serving breakfast such as nasi lemak, tea, coffee, toasts, half-boiled egg etc, as well as playing the role as a gathering point for uncles to meet with friends and read newspapers.
This is Mr Four Lights. He posed for me when seeing me taking his photo, but I didn't want that kind of photo!!
This shop is different. It starts doing business only at noon. Mr Four Lights is confident enough to say, if they open too early, the business of other stalls will be negatively affected.
The shop sold no food when we reached, though we were invited to be there. We could only order drinks, and the wife of Mr Four Lights ordered some food on our behalf from other stalls. She said, we could eat in the shop (ordered food from somewhere else) coz the place was not so hot.
We took the opportunity to try the famous food of Sg Lembing, such as the Noodle with Tomato Sauce (茄汁面), Spicy Fried Noodle (辣子面) and others.
Noodle with Tomato Sauce (茄汁面) on the right. We ate lousy one last year.
Does the Spicy Fried Noodle (辣子面) looks spicy? A 3-person order costs only RM8.
I was feeling eager to eat ABC (Ais Batu Campur), so just crossed the road and ordered something cold, plus a plate of Squid Kangkong (鱿鱼蕹菜), then brought over to the Millennium Coffee Shop.
The ABC. I ate 1 everyday, so 2 in total. Occassionaly I also practice unhealthy eating style.
Since there is chilli, squid and peanuts, I didn't taste much of Squid Kangkong.
The Mrs Four Lights with nice smile brought over a plate of Mountain and Water Bean Curd (山水豆腐). Once tasting it, my first response was….. VERY NICE!
I think not only me, but everyone loved it.
Nothing much too special to be mentioned. On the next day, before we left Sg Lembing, we went back again to try the recommended Yuan Yang (coffee mixed with tea).
Should be not bad. I only had few sips. I still couldn’t resist myself from ABC.
According to the comments from my friends, the food from Millennium Coffee Shop is just okay. For the ABC I took for two days, I felt it will be better if the seller can get rid of the step of adding in water.
