Loss of Exam Skills

Usually, weekend is for me to:
  • read the collected Nanyang Siang Pau features (南洋副刊)
  • wash car
  • sit longer in front of TV
  • blog more (save as drafts and publish one by one on the coming weekdays)
  • edit the snapped photos

It's kinda different this week, as I told myself, I must study over the weekend (for an upcoming small exam on Monday)! Otherwise I'm not allowed to do anything else.

This is the first time I saw hay stacks sheaved like this in Sekinchan paddy field. In the past, I saw these only on Australia farmlands, as well as in Thailand early this year.

As a result, I blogged and had chats with colleagues till 2am on Friday night.

On Saturday, I took afternoon nap, chatted on phone and messenger, went out to unwind with hometown mates at night, heard +0 commented that female Virgos are not easy to deal with... ended up doing last minute studies till I couldn't absorb the formulae/calculations.

Till now, I haven't done any of the above-listed, except a little effort (very little only) on the last 2 items.

In March, the paddy field looked like this, due to unpredictable and frequent rain. Growth of paddy was difficult.

Feel like study is hard, and I wondered why could I excel in this area during my university time? Is this because I've got old? Now I'm glad that I've done my postgraduate few years ago. Otherwise... can I still score good grades nowadays?

Actually this is really not a very big test. There should be a second chance/paper if I fail the first test. However, I wish not to fail for the first time in exam, in my life!

However, nowadays, it has conquered all obstacles and a golden view is presented.

"Let no feeling of discouragement prey upon you, and in the end you are sure to succeed."

Abraham Lincoln said so, and thanks iGoogle for presenting such an inspirational quote to me at this appropriate moment.

I went back few days ago and visited the paddy field. There was one uncle told me that the hay stack will be used to plant mushroom. It's a good idea though, rather than burning it away later.
