Second Open Water Dive

The second shore dive at Tanjung Tengah was scheduled at 5:10pm on 19/7/2008 (Sat).

Still insisted with my "no medicine" policy, I told myself, I should be able to handle equalization better in subsequent dives. Though it was again just a 5 meters descend, I felt it was like deeper than the first dive.

Guess what... I saw turtle while swimming around!!!

After finishing all the skills for Open Water 2 and ascended to the shore, I felt that my left ears was like not hearing anything - or I should say, it just functioned about 30%.

I'll be okay... I continued to tell myself so...

Honestly, I started to hesitate if I should insist with my "no medicine policy".

Should I depend on the medicine, or to bear with the pain?

Third Open Water Dive

This was the last shore dive before proceeding to the first boat dive, taking place in the early morning of 20/7/2008 (Sunday), 9am.

It started in the morning. While waiting for the others to do the skills (I had finished mine), I observed the beautiful underwater view at the back. Was so tempted to shoot photos, but I didn't have camera in my hand.

Later, I had some problems doing the CESA (Controlled Emergency Swimming Ascent) skill, and was requested to repeat few times till successful.

I was having serious pain with my ears, till I told my instructor, I felt wanna cry everytime I descended.

In fact, I took a Clarinase pill in the morning, which is said to combat equalization problem. However, it did not seem to work well.

Why? I'm not really sure, as I took the pill at around 7:30am. There should be enough time for it to take effect!

i understand the feeling too although i had hearing problems not as long as a week. but i found the feeling underwater, that no one says anything, is also quite good. and for sure, if this nice thing lasts for too long, it will become not nice :)
