This will be the last post about Bandung.

Going to each place, I'm interested to see/experience the local public transports, coz it's the best way to know the local.

In Jakarta, people used to tell me, ONLY TAXI and no others ("taksi" in Indonesia Language). In Bandung, taxi is not that prevalent. There are other choices, such as:

This van is the Angkutan Kota.

ANGKOT is how the local calls the Angkutan Kota. BIS is bus.

There is also motorcycle taxi, called OJEG. Near market, you will see Pangkalan Ojeg (Ojeg Stand).

By the way, share with you some Indonesia vocabularies here, which I learned from my few visits to Indonesia.

On the Road

Alun-alun = City Centre
Batas Kecepatan = Fast Lane
Lajur Darurat = Emergency Lane
Rambu-rambu = Rules
Antari = Queue

BANDARA means airport. Was on the shuttle going to the Sukarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta.

The X-Trans shuttle I took. The locals said this is the best compared to others.

Nice view along the highway.

Food

Bakso = Meatball
Batagor = BAKso + TAhu + GOReng (fried bean curb ball)
Bebek = Duck
Es = Ice
Mie = Noodle
Sapi = Cow

I didn't have much cash left. So my lunch was each of these, 10,000 Rupiah (appx RM3.60) in total... only.

I wonder, if they could easily have a 10K Rupiah lunch as I did.

Met a fully loaded bus on the way.

Others

Gratis = Free
Nota = Receipt
Parkir = Parking
Pohon = Tree
Tidak Usah = Not necessary

Bandung... when would I be coming again, and pay Kawah Putih a visit?

I used to think Indonesian language and Malay language are the same. Now it seems they're really different!
