My 080808
It's a seem-to-be good day, 8/8/08.
It's a day which a lot of people have counted down, coz it's the Olympic Day.
Last week, when my mum said she would be busy since today, and was longing to see the opening ceremony, I thought I'd have the chance to go home and stayed in front of the TV together for few hours.
However, I'm now in the Kartika Candra Hotel, just stopped working at 10pm+, and the satelite TV here did not show the live Olypmic opening ceremony. I asked the hotel staff to help in getting a channel to watch the Olympics opening ceremony. He turned on ESPN and some others but there was no live show from any channel.
Reached Jakarta last night, for the 4th time. Promised boss to do something last night, when there was no "interruption" caused by the Internet, but I didn't do anything. Then I was tired enough to bump into the bed.
Today, as scheduled, went to XxL for meeting. This round, I'm smart enough to ask the taxi driver to take the inner routes (small roads) to avoid traffic jam.
Nothing too special about the meeting. Around 11:30am, they went for praying and we continued again at 2pm. Dedy and I spent 2.5 hours at a cafe with Internet access and power point. We talked about work, the project, other colleagues, and last but not least, about Bandung!! He originates from Bandung but he'll be going back only next week, when there is a long weekend (due to Indonesia Independence Day).
He's very willing to provide info and advices. He kept repeating that I should not miss the brownies.
Honestly, the meeting did not actually take that long (9am to 4pm). Most of the time, we were waiting there. No punctuality, and someone could leave in the middle, then came back with a newly bought mobile phone, and he told us there was 20% to buy that. He's a main person for the meeting!!
Nothing was hard to handle, and this was my 4th time meeting them. They could easily made happy by a few Malay sentences I spoke, though not exactly the same as their Bahasa Indonesia.
After the meeting, I went to Dedy's company, which is our partner. The main attraction was still the Wifi, for me to send/receive emails and chat with my colleagues.
Today, only I realized that our partner company is extremely near to the hotel I stay. At night, when the bad traffic was clearly seen from the 21st floor building, Dedy said I'd better walk back to hotel. When I walked, I secured my belongings well. I was told that someone lost his passport just after crossing a pedestrian bridge. I definitely do not want that to happen to me.

I stopped by Hoka Hoka Bento near my hotel for dinner. SK recommended this to me, which is a Japanese fast food restaurant. I'd say the food is ok, though nothing extremely special to be mentioned ^^
Clients are used to ask for things immediately. Was thinking to leave tasks till next Monday, then Albert informed me, next Monday morning, we'll go to the Pakistan Embassy to apply for visa. Then, I've gotta do work tonight, so that I could enjoy my weekend at Bandung without much worry.
I've done a lot, but there are still many yet to be done. Sometimes I really doubt if I'm someone inefficient.
I just want to sleep now. The bus to Bandung left at 0745 tomorrow.
