Local Indonesian Food

Must say: I really love the smooth traffic I experienced today!! How good is it if there is a Raya forever!!

After meeting with Leng Leng and put my stuff at her apartment, we prepared ourselves to go out for lunch. Her HW workmate, Ryan would tag along, so we met him at the lobby of Taman Anggrek shopping mall.

Then, we were off to the Ciputra Mall (Mal Ciputra in Bahasa Indonesia). Leng Leng said, there are more food of local style here compared to Taman Anggrek.

They bought some fried titbits prior to heading into the mall. The fried banana is called as Pisang Kalimantan.

This is the Ciputra Mall where we had our lunch.

We went to the food court, ordered some dishes and shared among three of us.

The Indonesian's style Nasi Goreng (Fried Rice), 13000 Rupiah (appx RM5). The top-left Lily Siomay was not tasty, I don't really like it.

Tahu Gejrot, 7000 Rupiah (appx RM3). It's just cold, not heated, so I found it not nice. Quite a lot of Indonesian food is made of bean curd.

My favourite Ais Kacang (they call it Sari Sedap), but it's a bit too sweet. 8000 Rupiah (appx RM3) each.

The typical Ikan Bakar (roasted fish) with rice. On the receipt, it's named as Kemenangan (Success). A set costs 27500 Rupiah (appx RM10).

At night, we stopped by a food stalls area at Pluit. There are also various food for selection. Honestly, going out with my boss would never grant me such a chance of trying local food. He's the kind always looking for Chinese food, or Japanese food as the second choice.

Again, such a wide variety can really drive me crazy!!!

Ryan and my selections, 5500 Rupiah (RM2) each, plus a plate of Poh Piah (8000 Rupiah/appx RM3). The Poh Piah was not bad...

This is Leng Leng's, plus a plate of Char Koey Teow (38000 Rupiah/appx RM14) and Chee Cheong Fun. I like to try CCF whenever I go, don't know why ^^

But sad to say, the one here is not so delicious. The Chee Cheong Fun was 20000 Rupiah (appx RM7), no so cheap also!

We thought we could eat a lot, but the ordered had made us full.

After the dinner, we caught a bajaj (6000 Rupiah per ride for 3 of us, dirt cheap!) to go to Nano Health Centre for massage. The center is very well developed. You could watch TV and will be served with drinks.

Due to tiredness, I slept soundly there, till the massager woke me up. We paid only 45,000 Rupiah (appx RM16) for a 1.5 hour session of massage. Even cheaper than Chiang Mai!!

Hi, haven't talked to you for a long time.

I got Agreon's telephone interview this morning. I was asked for a "real" interview this Thursday.

It's been a month since I sent them my resume. I could hardly believe that now..Hope I'm not gonna lose it.
