Jinnah Super Market, Islamabad
Going to Pakistan | Very Disappointed | Day 1 | Day 2 | Day 3 | ISB Office | Pakistani Cuisine | Shakar Parian | Daman-e-Koh | Pakistani | Jinnah Super Market | Leaving PKT
First of all, lets get the name right.
It is "JINNAH SUPER" Market, not "JINNAH" Super Market. I personally assume so, because "supermarket" should be a building having everything inside, according to my definition.
F-7 Markaz, famously known as the Jinnah Super Market, is situated in the Sector F-7 of the Federal Capital and is one of the most sought after areas.
I passed by here before while I was still at work. I recognized this Saeed Book Bank, as we talked about it in the taxi.
The Jinnah Super Market is one of the biggest markets in Islamabad. It is a collection of many different stores in one place, which makes it easy to find things. From restaurants to books to electronics, you can basically get everything here.
There are antique shops, book stores, supermarkets, open air cafes, imported men and women garments, sports items, home furnishings, flower shops, mobile shops, computer and electronic shops, gift stores, music shops, departmental stores, fashion garments, branded clothes outlets and a lot more within this market.
Men and women shoes.
This is how they define "shopping center".
Ice creams are sold in this way!
The locals in their traditional garments.
In the past, some couch surfers Shahla and Peter hosted have been interested in getting a local traditional suit. They assumed I'm the same, but I said.. sorry, I'm not looking for any clothes.
What would I need those?
After some walk around, we bought some drinks and had rest somewhere. Just in front of where we sat, there was a stall selling some decorative stuff.
Peter spotted this and suggested me to wear it, and he offered himself to take a picture for me.
This is the silly girl just following instructions (once in a while only).
He also spotted something for himself.
The 2 horns looked evil.
This is how a horse rider is geared up.
The seller looks very much like a Chinese. He said what he sells came from Afghanistan.
I snapped some more photos while Shahla was choosing something for herself.
Oops.. I don't mean to interrupt your afternoon tea!
Another way of selling ice cream. Anyway, I didn't have the courage to try. I had gotta take flight that night. Couldn't afford any diarrhea or vomit.
Mobile ATM.. we don't even have it in Malaysia, right?
Around that area, there is also a Chinese restaurant. When I see Chinese restaurant, I'd think of my boss. That's always his biggest concern going to a new place.
When writing this post, I see some funny description about this Jinnah Super Market online:
Haha, at least I didn't FEEL THIS when I was physically at the place! Didn't really see any guy tackling any girl there.

Jinnah Super is hot spot for Isloo's cool dudes looking for girls to hang out. Dudes from higher class families with sports bikes and brand new sports cars move around in Jinnah Super to "impress" girls.
Many youngsters come here just for enjoyment and window shopping. So you must admit, Jinnah Super is Isloo's "Hot Spot" ;-)
