A lot of people might not know, if you experience service down, you could actually request for refund from Streamyx.

Thanks Dave for telling me this, when I wrote about it in the past.

I'm hereby sharing the WHAT TO DO if you were to refund your money from Streamyx.

First of all, please make sure that you lodge a report when you encounter service down, by calling 1-300-88-9515. The report number given to you will be the proof of the claimed problem/reason.

Then, you can write an email to Streamyx. The following provides you a template:
To: help@tm.net.my, help@tm.com.my
Subject: Streamyx Rebate

Hi

I've been experiencing a lot of down times for the subscribed Streamyx service in the month April-May. I hereby would like to request for a rebate.

Customer Name: (your name)
Contact Number: (your contact number)
Account Number: (your account number in the format of Dxxxxx-xxx-xxxx)
Login ID: (your streamyx account login ID)

Down time periods:

7/4/2008 till 12/4/2008 (6 days)
Report Number: (report number in the format of x xxx xxx xxxx)

28/4/2008 till 5/5/2008 (8 days)
Report Number: (report number)

7/5/2008 till 14/5/2008 (8 days)
Report Number: (report number)

Hope to hear from you soon. Thanks.

Cheers
(your name)

For safety sake, please send to both of the email addresses. I'm also not sure which is the correct one.

First, they will acknowledge receipt of your email, in 2 days time (as per my case). In the email, they ask us to help@tm.com.my, but the acknowledgment was actually sent from help@tm.net.my. I'm confused!

Streamyx is EXTREMELY EFFICIENT in processing rebate (perhaps their service invites too much complains??). See, they responded to me in another 2 days time, with the refunded amount.

So guys, enjoy your refund from Streamyx! That is your hard-earned money!

Getting the RM96 back is a nice bonus, but the absolute best thing about gettng the refund is that it hurts TM financially. If everyone claims refunds, eventually someone in TM is going to calculate that it is cheaper to provide a more stable service in the first place rather than having a staff of thosands processing refunds. It can only lead to a better product.

You had down time of 22 days during April and May? Gosh... I didn't know streamyx was that bad.

Perhaps I am lucky.
