Kota, Jakarta

Short Note: Finally, I'm going to work again tomorrow! A 5-day leaves at home (I worked from home on Friday) is too long for me. That's why I won't simply waste my leaves. Once I want to be away from work, I'd go traveling... find problems for myself, get lost somewhere, check the map, talk to strangers, snap photos non-stop... now I understand why my mum did not want to resign ^^

I asked Dedy, what are the good places in Jakarta to go around? He answered "shopping mall".

My face was like xxx (unexplainable)... and I replied... shopping malls? That means I cannot take photos.

Dedy: Then you can go to Kota. There are some old buildings and museums.
Haan: Yea, that's what I want. How far is the place?

Dedy: Not far, maybe 20 minutes. But please beware of your belongings when you are around there.
Haan: Any transport going to Kota?

Dedy: Take a taxi. Never ever take the public transports, ok?
Haan: Noted. (actually I was thinking to try coz I never took any public transports in JKT)

#1 - seeing this, I knew I got to the right place!

On the previous night, the taxi driver went around that area, not sure where should he stopped for us. He asked us, but we also didn't know.

Finally, we decided to go only on the next day, due to the disappearance of sunshine which made photography too challenging. Instead, we went for dinner (local food, of course) at Pluit, then a 1.5 hour massage at the Nano Health Center.

The next day, after taking a J.CO breakfast, Leng Leng and I headed to Kota again. We stopped at the Museum Bank Indonesia, then started our exploration on foot.

Thanks Leng Leng for her time and accompany. Traveling with me is absolutely not fun, coz I spent quite some time in shooting photos. Appreciate her "escort", otherwise I'd not be able to photograph without much attention to the surroundings (I still remembered Dedy's advice).

#16 - taken at the Puppet Museum, Taman Fatahilla (an architectural feature square)

Don't know why, I still prefer Sepia to B&W. The photos this round do not seem to have much improvement than those taken in Sungai Lembing. However, would appreciate any vote or comment.

Personally, I love the #9 the most. How about you?
