Resumed Badminton Session
On 27 May 2008, I wrote a post "Last Badminton Day". I thought that was the end of my badminton life.
Few months later, my current company also started to have weekly badminton session at the Panasonic Sports Complex, the place where I learned diving. This round, the "offer" is more attractive coz:
So, my badminton life resumed again on 29 Oct 2008, after 5 months rest! Initially, we started with only 1 court. After 2 weeks, we have got 2 courts this Wednesday.
At the same time, Uncle Lim rang me and said, they want to play badminton again, asked me whether I wanted to join. I could just say sorry, coz they are having it on Wednesday as well.
Got to know some other colleagues via playing badminton with them. The participation is active. There were 15 people this week, when we booked 2 courts.
Honestly, in average, the players are not as strong as the uncles I played together last time. Nonetheless I still enjoyed it, coz I'm also not a very good player ^^ For some people, our first conversation took place coz of badminton!
It feels good when every Wednesday, our messager messages are like:
A: Do you go for badminton today?
B: I still feel sick.
A: After you sweat, tomorrow you won't be sick. So you must go.
A: Don't chat anymore, go for badminton now.. we talk later at the court.
B: Go go go. JJ also asked me to go already.
A: Have you got the shuttlecock from WS?
B: They are still with me.
But, after the first week, I became the only female playing badminton. Not too sure why the other 2 were absent.
Some facts will never change. For example, I will never go eating after badminton. Last night KS asked me why, and I've gotta elaborate to him my reasons.
Obviously, my badminton mates now are much younger. However I should mix more with young people, as I always look old than my actual age!
Since I don't reckon I could play for long with them, I'll treasure every week that I could go. I really love the feeling of sweating heavily after each session!!
Few months later, my current company also started to have weekly badminton session at the Panasonic Sports Complex, the place where I learned diving. This round, the "offer" is more attractive coz:
- Near to company, need at most 10 mins drive, if traffic is busy. Last time, I had to drive for at least 1 hour to reach.
- Free courts and shuttlecocks. Last time, I got to pay.
- Two courts available. Last time, we had one court only.
