Sekinchan Paddy Field in Nov'08
During the visit of Andrew and Ivy, I discovered a good spot viewing the vast paddy fields in Sekinchan.
I mean.. an aerial view... while not owning a helicopter...
I've been down and lazy for quite a while, not even touching my DSLR, just keeping it somewhere not obvious till I forgot about it.
Sorry!! Am really sorry!!
Today, around 6pm, I left home and directly headed to the Nan Tien Temple (南天宫) located in Site A, Sekinchan. I wanted to try if I could shoot some nice aerial view photos of the paddy field.
It's still pretty greenish at the moment. In 1-2 weeks time, it will be in golden color, when harvest is gonna start.
Just love the greenish view, without any reason.
Have not been taking satisfactory photos for quite some time... I hope today's work is not another disappointment.
It's much awesome seeing with your own eyes, coz what the camera could capture is limited. Not sure what a wide angle lens can produce.. I don't have one to experiment.
The above is the lookout point allowing you to have an aerial view of the paddy field.
In the past, I didn't like colourful stuff, but now I've changed.
However, a truly colourful temple doesn't really look traditional. Just like the extremely modern buildings in Dubai, they could not arouse my interest.
Okay, seems like I'm getting a little out of topic :)
The staircase is pretty steep.. make sure you do not have Acrophobia (refer to phobialist.com).
These photos were taken using Nikon. No colour adjustment is needed at all. I only resized them and added in watermark.
I love Nikon!!
Yeah, I was up there for my aerial view photos.
Nan Tien Temple is a pretty decent temple. I never go there for any religious activities.
Enough of shooting.. I'm going home.
I think it's a good spot to recommend other photography bugs, so I should provide more complete information here.
This is the place! Go to Site A, okay?
Actually, you could easily see if from afar, due to the striking yellow colour.
So, when are you coming?
Still took a typical paddy field photo for the day!
Weather was not good today. I'll come again when the weather is nice.
