Wesak Ramble
Clarification: The photos in this posts are taken by Ervinna.
I've been writing a lot about Vietnam lately. Maybe I should clarify that I'm not a Vietnamese, but a Malaysian.
I will stop writing about Vietnam, don't worry :)

It's been a very stressful week. On Wednesday, I rushed on something till I felt want to cry. Eventually I managed to finish and send out the docs by 3pm, then took a simple lunch and started another meeting. I always feel so bad when comparing myself to my boss. How could he be so efficient but I'm so bloody slow?
Recently, there are so many RFPs (Request for Proposals) to be answered at work. Supposed there is one I should do it this weekend, and have things ready to be reviewed by Monday, but I've no mood to do it at all (I mean since last night till to date).

This week, I've gotta prepare for my next trip to Bali in mid May (yea, next week). Will be there for a week. I am hesitating if I should bring along the laptop.
Rationally, I should not. Since it's a holiday, I should just enjoy without checking any work email, not to rush for photo processing and blogging.
Emotionally, I felt wanna write some "on the road" posts during the trip, and also to check if anything will need my urgent attention at work. Sigh... I always tell others, not to think you are so important in the office and feel unable to take leaves. But then I also tend to over-estimate myself.

I've a colleague (working for our partner actually, we are not under the same organization, but I tend to say he's my colleague) who is traveling around China and Hong Kong now. He did get online and we chatted via MSN.
I saw his boss left him message in Facebook asking him to check work email. He told me how the client has acted badly on him by complaining and saying something untrue to his boss... and asked for my help to prepare the kickoff meeting presentation slides. Before all these hassles happened, I had actually promised to provide him those assistance.

He told me, if no one in his office could help, he'll need to rush to a place, which is located 5 hours car drive from Jakarta, to have a meeting, just after he reaches back Indonesia from his trip. In the past, he was amazed that why a new Project Manager in my company could always take leaves.
"You know, in the first year working here (in his company in Jakarta), we don't take any leave." he said.
When he updated his status in Facebook, his colleagues kept bombarding him with work-related stuff. Pity him. I think my boss is more lenient and will take over everything and handle by himself, instead of forcing me to check mail during my holiday. I'm a lucky one! (that's the reason he's the most slave-like boss I've ever met)

It's spring in the northern hemisphere now. Have seen some nice photos taken by friends when they recently travel there. Hrrrrr... the photos are soooooooooo nice (especially Ervinna's album). Stealing some photos from her for this post as well, with acknowledgment of course :)
This is my latest MSN tag: tulips... in europe... Keukenhof... which year's spring will i be there?
Several people have told me, it will come true in 2010. I truly hope so!! I went to Amsterdam in 2005 (for work), enjoying there for 2 weeks (see photos here), and got to know Keukenhof. Unfortunately it was not during the spring season.

Again, I've a strong urge in mind to go Italy for my long-dreamed skiing activity, which has been in the to-do list for few years. Finally I did more research and found out more info... initially will be what flight to take, to reach Rome or Venice, and how to get to Udine, where Andrea is staying.
Yea, my year-end backpack can only be 16 days maximum, due to another 5 days have been allocated to dive in Sipadan in October.

All these are just plans, which might or might not come true. However, if there is no plan at all, it's doomed to have nothing comes true.
This is how I live my life, though sometimes I'm also unsure, if my way is right.

the first photo with white tulips make me think of a sentence from a chinese poem: 眾里尋她千百度 (looking for her thousand time from the crowd)
the original is far more better than my translation.
哈哈,中间被对焦的那朵,就是所谓的“她”吧。四周的,就是“众”。
下一次,要来张可以让你感觉到“驀然回首,那人卻在燈火闌珊處”的了!
really nice photos!
Same like you, I'm always comtemplating whether to bring along lappy during trips or not. Cos it's a burden but I love the thought of blogging in a foreign land :S
