AOW in Redang | Trip Expenses | Peak Performance Buoyancy Dive | Night Dive | Deep Dive | Fish ID Dive | Underwater Navigation Dive | Random Photos

After the deep dive in the early morning (0830), we had another dive called Fish Identification at 1130.

Originally this should be a wreck dive, however due to some reasons, it was changed to Fish ID dive. Some OW divers have already done a wreck dive, but I had not got the chance yet, sigh...

Basically this was quite a fun dive for me. No skill assessment, no pressure. I just dived around and see the underwater creatures. Really a good feeling. Love it!!!

We were instructed to remember what we see, then list them out after the dive, including of the fish with bone, fish without bone, as well as corals. There are some references at the diving center about the names of common marine life in South East Asia.

The dive site was the Sting Ray city. The entire dive took around 47 minutes.

Saw sting ray of course, and a lot of other creatures. Sad to say, my knowledge on marine life is weak. For example, I saw a lot of sea cucumbers, but in fact there are a lot of varieties, but I could not distinguish them.

My "photography skill using eyes" was also not excellent. I did not dare to rent a camera yet, coz I still did not finish my AOW certification.
